Gary Fritz, also known as Wicked, is a seasoned percussionist whose musical journey began in his childhood, surrounded by creativity. With a drummer father and a dancer mother, he grew up immersed in rhythm and movement, attending gigs and events that shaped his passion for the arts.

By the age of five, he was already drawn to percussion, inspired by the way music could bring people together and create unforgettable moments. His father’s band, The Frank Anderson Orchestra, played a crucial role in his development, setting the foundation for a lifelong pursuit of music.

A graduate of Erasmus/Wingate Prep, Wicked would continue on to study music at Lincoln University and Medgar Evars College.

Wicked’s career has been nothing short of remarkable. Over the years, he has performed with an extensive list of artists, including Roberta Flack, George Benson, James Cleveland, The Brand New Heavies, and the P-Funk All Stars.

Some of his many other credits include Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Bashiri Johnson & The Victoria Secret Drummers, The Black Rock Coalition Orchestra, Etienne Charles, Dance Theatre Of Harlem, Maya Azucena, Monet, Nate Lucas All Stars, Les Nubians, Vernon Reid, Valerie Simpson and The Winans.

His versatility spans across Jazz, Funk, Fusion, House, Latin, and World Beat, making him a sought-after musician in the industry.
