MEET RAH - Drums

Richard Adolphus Harrison, also known as RAH, began his musical journey banging on tables with friends to create beats.
At 12 years old, a visit to the Playboy Club in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, led him to his first live drumming experience, where a professional drummer introduced him to calypso rhythms. By 15, he recorded his first single, This Is a Party, marking the beginning of his professional music career.

RAH’s influences include legendary drummers such as Billy Cobham, Max Roach, Buddy Rich, and Art Blakey, that helped shape his signature sound.

Throughout his career, he has worked with Grandmaster Melle Mel & The Furious Five, James Chance and the Contortions, Defunkt, and Les Rita Mitsouko, among others.

His talents extend beyond drumming, he has appeared in films and TV shows like Downtown 81 and New York Undercover and has made a lasting impact as a music educator and producer.

RAH continues to produce music, DJ, and innovate in the music industry, recently releasing his debut album God’s Music.
