Born in the Bronx, New York, background vocalist Lady L began singing at the age of four, singing in church alongside her mother and family.

Growing up in a household where music was a constant, she developed an undeniable passion for singing that would shape her entire life. A solo performance at her sixth-grade graduation would solidify her vision for the future.

Her musical influences span many genres such as Gospel, R&B, Jazz Pop and Opera. Some of her favorite artists include icons like Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross, and René & Angela.

Lady L would go on to graduate from Music & Arts High School in 1981 and pursue a career in music.

Over the years, she has been a lead vocalist for several bands, including Metro Band, Night Cast Band, On Point Band, and The Working Class Soul Band, showcasing her ability to command the stage with grace and power.

Some of her favorite memories include with the band is being on the bill with Melba Moore, Ted Mills from Blue Magic, and Melissa Morgan, and sharing the stage with Dr. Bob Lee from WBLS, in addition to various studio sessions.

Having lived both with sight and without sight, Lady L deeply understands the power of sound and emotion in uniting people.
