MEET Hash - Bass

Hashim Bunch, also known as Hash or Dr. Bass, was born into a musical family, surrounded by rhythm and melody from an early age.
His mother introduced him to music, and he started playing percussion in their African band before developing a strong interest in guitar. It was his uncle, Sekou Bunch, a seasoned bassist, who encouraged him to pick up the bass—a decision that would shape his musical journey.

Inspired as a child seeing the energy of KISS on television and later invited to tour with the band Beyond Hope Lies at just 15, Hash always knew he was destined for the stage.

His influences span from his parents and siblings to legends like Bootsy Collins and Michael Jackson, but above all, he considers himself his greatest inspiration, constantly evolving and growing in real time.

Hash has played with a wide range of acts, including The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, BangRoc, M.A.Y.O.R (Move.At.Your.Own.Risk), and the 79.5 Band. Bunch has also collaborated with Trulio Disgracias, Young Dirty Bastard, Bump Pro, GunForGun, Kalae All Day, ApolloTwilight, Hollis, and Beyond Hope Lies

For Hash, it’s not just about playing music—it’s about creating an unforgettable experience that resonates with audiences for years to come.
